It looks like something is stalking the streets...An amusing environmental revenge fantasy is Sheri Tepper's The Family Tree, written in what a friend described as "serviceable prose". Not a great prose stylist, but she is a funny woman.

Oh yeah, it certainly does - like a giant chicken, or a dinosaur (same thing, right?). Great shot!

Nature is fighting back! Imagine the scene... huge enraged tree's stalking the streets, squashing cars and people yet one pauses with a tear in it's knot hole eye when it sees a newspaper stand... could they be the remains of distant relatives...?! Bookshops become mausolia, matches and ice lolly sticks are just sick and twisted practices perpetrated by the human oppressors! Good photo that!
im back to painting!
You have me laughing out loud! That tree truck is a gorgeous one. I enjoyed your last post as well.
Congrats on being listed on blogs of note!

Matt - I like the way you think.
Dogs in question are in Ontario (spam left up for not being self-promotion) if you are looking.
Ha-ha, that's great! Looks like an escaped Ent from Lord of the Rings.
Hope those plants remember that I studied botanical ecology when the green revolution really hits the fan; I'm on your side, my photosynthetic phriends!
Great stuff,
Son
WOW! That's a great tree trunk--It looks like it's ripping up the sidewalk-reminds me of the sidewalk in front of my mom's house in New Orleans. The trees don't let things like people get in their way! :)
