Problem Child

She's like a daughter to him, but Commander Adama just can't seem to instill the notion of discipline into Kara Thrace. If you haven't seen Battlestar Galactica, you're missing a great actor's showcase and the remarkable actress Katee Sackhoff in the role of Kara Thrace (and that guy with the droopy face is no slouch either). It was slightly disturbing to see Edward James Olmos smiling in some of the photos on Google Image when I searched for reference - it would be highly improper for him ever to do so on the show. Cause things are way, way worse than they are in the world right now in that particular dystopia. Here is the Robot Chicken take on the linguistic variations of BG. If you know the show and are curious about "Heeyooo" followed by drumming in the opening credits, this is what it is (as promised, K).

Love it! I wasn't expecting to be a Battlestar G. fan but I'm eagerly awaiting the last half of the last season here in the UK (might well have to wait for the DVD, so don't let on what happens!!!). You're right, Sackhoff has a marvelous screen presence and I'm pleased to see she obviously has a big role to play in the finale. As for adama if you want to be really weirded out watch his supporting role as the Asian cop with a walking stick in Bladerunner! Please don't mention the drumming bit on the credits (great drumming sure...) winds me up no end when they show you the episode you are about to watch! I have to look away till the finale drum beat and the logo appears. Love the crow with gem stones post by the way!

Matt -

Of course, we're ahead one season here, but you can pretty much take it to the bank (can I say take it to the bank in these troubled days?) that what keeps happening are more Very Bad Things, like a piano piece in which all the keys are bludgeons with which to whap the human race.

Heeeyu.

OMG!!! I LOOOOOVE BSG! I've watched every (and I do mean EVERY) single episode from Season One all the way up until now! You rock. I'm pretty new to blogger.com, and I've been surfing for other blogs to follow. You definitely make the cut. : - )

Thanks for sharing. Love your blog.

BSG just keeps getting better and better. Any of you out there who haven't seen it, rent the DVD's! One of the best shows ever made, even if the "think" you don't like sci-fi. It transcends. Great blog!
