Mildred resolved to practice being more resilient in 2009 and started the year out with a cup of tea in midair, while Mr. Jingles preferred a nap. For illustration friday.
Mildred and Mr. Jingles got my day off to a great start. I've got to pull the trampoline out and set it up out the lawn. Don't think I'm brave enough to try drinking my coffee on it, however...
oh yes… i heard the same thing about city of ember but my daughter didn't like it much… she read the book and said they messed with the story too much… but what movie doesn't?

Fantastic lines and composition!!!
I really love to do the same and can fly even just to drink a cup of coffee! ;)
I love this! Darling illustration - kind of Gorey-like.
I wish you a rainy year with health and happiness!

What is so funny is her age-not really for jumping. Fun illo.
what an awesome resolution!
:) I love the drawing.
A pure multi-tasker. I love your illustrations.
More naps in 2009! I'm for it.

Definitely agree with Valerie on the Gorey comparison. Love the low-toned absurdity, an Artsparker speciality, I’m beginning to realize.
She's wonderful! An inspiration~
Sometime I would like to enter the world where your characters live, tea with this one, would be a most splendid way to spend an afternoon.
I really enjoy the style of this illustration. Also, the expression on Mildred's face is perfect.
What a great metaphorical illustration! I really like the limited bit of color and the lovely whimsical line work.

Reminds me of the laughing scene in Mary Poppins, love the simple colour compostion.
fab illo… makes me smile and also makes me wonder just what really goes on at Del Bocca Vista when no one is looking…

Hehehe! Very cool. I love your lines. Me, I think I'd prefer a nice cup of tea on the floor and a nap in mid-air.
Enjoying both gravity and a cup of tea, weird! I luv to give a try..
New Year's Resolution # 101: Buy a trampoline!
Reminds me of the comment in Lolita about a tragic death: "Picnic, lightning."
Yours is more fun.
