"Hase Weiss" - that´s the name of a toy shop I just walked past, always like that little flag in front of it (it refers to the old fashioned word "naseweis", perky...)
We just read Jabberwocky today in my creative writing classes--the kids really like it.
This is a really fun picture--love the light coming through the squash plants in the background.
And this is a perfect illustration of what you pointed out about my owl picture--the contrast between the figure and the background. I totally agree with you.

Oh...it is nasturtiums...sorry. I read the stem and flowers as squash, but now I see the leaves. The light's still lovely through it, though.
I really love Alice in Wonderland and nasturtiums so this is double delight! So original!
