Which song is this? A couple of clues: the artist's hair has been rendered faithfully, nothing to do with Elvis Costello despite the red shoes, in fact, the artist could give Tom Waits a run for his money in the gifted simian department. One of the prettiest songs I know. Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Oh, i'm guessing Neil Young - Long may you run? (the jpg name of the photo gave it away efore I spotted the link. Lovely song.
The first thought that sprang to mind before reading the text was Beach Boys, Surfing USA...
This vehicle is hilarious.
Thought it might something with a refrain like "I´ll pick you up in my pickup-truck"...
Unless it were heavy metal I probably wouldn't recognize it.
Is that a Chevy or a Toyota?
Love the sawn-off guitar!
I'm going with Neil Young and "After the Gold Rush", because California Girls were what came after, the, erm, Gold Rush. Quite a long time after, obviously.
I once spent a night in a tent with a man who sang me Neil Young songs all night, so I should be doing better than this, I know. His friend, however, had taken LSD and I was somewhat pre-occupied with his sleeping-bag/shark hallucinations.
Jasmine - and thanks for clicking...I am hoping people will do that tomorrow when I have an extremely tall thing to post.
It's Tiny Tim singing 'Tiptoe through the tulips or I'll smash yer face '
TFE- This strikes me as a little belligerent under the circumstances...you'll catch more flies with honey etc....
a fair likeness, tho Neil doesn't get out on ledges much these days.
Young is one of my favorite singers. This a good one, and I especially like Harvest Moon and After the Gold Rush.
Time to pull out a couple of his CDs, I'm thinking.
However, I didn't guess the song title, and before I expanded the image and saw that it was NY, I thought it might be TBB's California Girls.
Tom -I think the way the paint ran on the eyes makes it looks like the shadows under that Neanderthal brow.
good to see TFE pop his head in..
surf board = Beach Boys...it's like Pavlov's dogs. But, I realize I was wrong. Loved the whipped around hair.
I thought of Neil Young...but I was thinking more in the line of "Lil Duce Coupe" with the car and the surfer girl. =-)
i (big heart) neil! he has such a heart of gold....
great song
