That would be waving and that would be crying,Crying and shouting and meaning farewell,
Farewell in the eyes and farewell at the centre,
Just to stand still without waving a hand...
---from Waving Adieu, Adieu, Adieu, Wallace Stevens
My sister bought this single glove for me in a thrift store my last afternoon in Devon.

good-byes are so difficult and even more complex if you live only 15 mins away from your sibling...
this one makes me sad and frustrated...
it looks like a beautiful rising sun, fingers waving like powerful rays, hands delivering light.
The gossamer glove ~ as though you shed a bit of your skin and left it behind to live on in Devon!
It must be fun to buy something like this and KNOW it will likely be immortalized by Artspark. I enjoy how you can see the landscape through the glove!
That's a great shot of the glove and perfect pairing with the Stevens fragment
I don't think I would have realized that was a glove even with quite a bit of study. Very gauzy and light.
Beautiful photograph, love the light and colours.
Glove itself a little unsettling, with an undertaste of udders for me. I loved Shayna's shed skin concept.
magnificent glove :)
my dear, I love this kind of art !!! great ! hugh Kathrin
the glove - before I registered what it literally was - reminded me of parachute silk, and then those little spiders that use parachutes to leave the nest.
which ended up pairing very nicely with the stevens' fragment. a particularly nice post.
Very handy.
Looks like a Phoenix tail.
Gorgeous photograph! So many stories ... narratives from that single image ... beautiful.
beautiful orange composition!
