Life in California

My vegetable love should grow
Vaster than empires, and more slow...

---from To his Coy Mistress, Andrew Marvell

Ed: Should probably have read: with apologies to Archimbaldo.

For more unusual forms of life, Blu has a new wall animation on vimeo.

Great idea. It reminds me of a painting called "The Gardener's Wife" I had in a book as a child. I don't know who painted it, but it was built up of fruit, flowers and veg as I remember it. Can't find it on the net, sadly.
