The Queen's Fish Footman hands the invitation to the croquet game to the Dutchess's Frog Footman. When Alice knocks on the door, she is advised by the Frog Footman "There's no sort of use in knocking...I'm on the same side of the door you are [and] they're making such a noise inside, noone could possibly hear you."
