Puzzler

This contemplative bird was photographed by Eduardo, husband of commenter Cláudia. While she and I caught up on the steps of the Victoria fountain in front of Buckingham Palace, Eduardo and their daughter Isabella were having a wander around St. James' Park. We are wondering what it is - it looks like a cross between a dodo and a pelican.

I liked the bird a lot, so I have memorialized it in this t-shirt on redbubble.

The Dodo

This verse has changed in feeling with its context, I am sure. The last dodo was supposedly slain by a fisherman who feared it was a witch - as Seth Godin remarked in a recent post, we fear what we do not understand.
The Dodo used to walk around,
And take the sun and air.
