The Shadow of the Jabberwock

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

The "Beamish Boy" is only seen from the back in the Tenniel illustration, here I have pictured him as a youth of about 14. This was set to post originally yesterday morning before I got the Alice shadow picture from Laurie - interesting that we came up with similar themes - but the post-ahead feature on blogger does not appear to be working for me.

Heart in Hand

...Or maybe it's a duck quacking words of love. In any case, it should probably say with apologies to Reya at Gold Puppy, a mistress of shadows. She has been considering the subject of romantic love, with much commentary from readers of her blog, in her last post and the one before that. Head on over there if you'd like to join the discussion, and to see some amazing light and shadows.
