There's also the scene in "Cool Hand Luke" where Paul Newman's character is laid out flat on a wooden table with his arms outstretched. He looks like he's been crucified. Goodness Paul Newman was gorgeous!
Oneday- yes, that had a bit more legitimacy I think, the film was oriented along the idea of one man redeeming the others - the Johnny Depp billboard seems a little pasted on, although a review I read said the film had spiritual aspirations/prestensions.
