At the Antique Centre

You never know who you'll meet...

Overheard, James getting fed up with a regular: "If you'd just pay me the money you owe me, you could shop like a normal person". Did I mention the Antique Centre is on Telegraph Avenue? Many crunchy colorful characters. Oh - also I picked up 14 wonderful photos and postcards there, a world of possibilities. In one of them I seem to recognize myself, but no one else in the photo...

To the owner of Aria (I seem to remember your name is Bill) the work I used the birds print for is actually on my other blog, Tinytheatre - Blame it on artistic absent-mindedness.

Fast

How many miles to Babylon?
Three-score and ten.
Can I get there by candlelight?
Yes, and back again.

– Old English Nursery Rhyme

Taken at the Antique Center (of course).

I have been watching The Fast Runner, one of Shayna's favorite films. It's growing on me.

And Aleph and I are doing the psychic thing again.

Pretty/Lucky

A neighbor who was moving out gave me three silk damask curtains which I put through the wash (the curtains were in my car when it was stolen and I wanted to wash the robbers' cigarette smoke smell out). Only one of them frayed in this amazing way - that is, the bird is from the Antique Centre, but don't you love those ravels?

Antique Centre Decorations

When I drove by the Antique Centre, I couldn't resist going home for my camera.
