Rick - I think I know what you mean. It was kind of weird to make, but seemed to fit. The soldier is so erect in his uniform, as if the an upright bearing and a uniform were protection. I have heard my father had a friend in the Pacific in WW2 who survived by taking off his helmet while in battle/under fire- helmets made it easier to get spotted and weren't bullet-proof. But I suppose they must have given a feeling of being protected.
Susan I love this card. the leaves and poppy look like embroidery. I also like the way the music sheet is blank leading me to think that the leaves/nature sing their own song. war leads to death and sadly, remembrance.Wonderful.

For a geezer from Canada, a somewhat startling image (not offensive to me at all, just an eye-opener).

wow--that is interesting that he took off his helmet to survive. This is a touching image. I feel the reverence and sadness for those who fight.
Perfect green and red, and truly striking image.
Hell of a film too.

not quite a pot head but close. :)
Packs quite a puch,
Beautiful and horrifying at once:
his head explodes into a poppy.
Poppy shot.
