This deserves to be seen more, especially by all you miniature banjo fans, a (mostly) solemn somberly garbed gentleman (identified as Drake's Basement) on youtube.Where is this pier? The fact that he sings the titular line with more conviction than Shane McGowan in the original makes me think this may be somewhere along the Gulf Coast.
Warning: simulated miniature banjo licking.

yeah, that's a good one--got it saved to favorites, now
O God that feather. It makes me feel quite weird to see it somehow.....
Jenny, it is a magpie's feather I brought back from England, found on the green near Queen Alexandra's Palace.
what a great version. the original is pretty nice too.
I think it's the Atlantic City boardwalk.
Very cool and funny too!!!
wonder what kind of feather that is..
I wonder how different the magpie there is to the magpie here...
greet and great
That's pretty bizarre.
only just now I really understand and see thepicture right..is pier the same as a companion?

What a mystrious character be buried!
Is this near the causeway, or Clearwater? -J
Likewater into wine,The bearded one took mediocrity from The toothless one and made it magnifico!
Great sparkler manifestation of the event too.
I like how your posts are filled with things to think about...like how did Artspark find drakes basement and how drake's basement looks like Joaquin Phoenix. It was thrilling to see the still image on your blog "come to life" on youtube. I really loved it!
As Celeste said, seeing the still figure of yours coming into life in the video was thrilling. the original, the version and the photographed character ... a little house of mirrows. i love feathers. besides.
