King of Birds #2

And this is the second version.

Well, folks, it appears the battery is pretty low here, I'm going to be taking a few days off from posting and probably from visiting.

This is a picture of me in something my mother knocked up from an old bed cover for a fancy dress party. New Year's Eve 1972. Where did you get it?

Quite icon-like and I love the use of the old book.
I now long to party with JJ Beazley.

Titus: You wouldn't if you saw what I look like now. And those parties were pre-Thatcher.

Susan: We can't leave you in peace, can we? Clear off and have a good break.

I'll miss you, but a respite from blogging sounds good.

For someone who loves books, it's funny how much I love to see them cut up and manipulated.
Or not so funny---they can take it!

Come back when you're ready to, as Philip Larkin says,
begin afresh, afresh, afresh.

I like this line of thinking. Are you exhausting the possibilities?

Have a nice holiday.
