Kublai's plans

A visionary leader, Kublai reformed the taxation system, renovated and extended the grand canal, and promoted the study of astronomy, mathematics and medicine.

Sometimes, I become self-loathing over the fact that I've never been a fan of history or making myself aware of who revolutionized what. Perhaps I should be more appreciative of the brilliant minds that helped elevate the world we live in today. :-/
