The Lion

I had a stuffed Lion as a child of which I was very fond, although I am sure the following is good advice.
The Lion, the Lion, he dwells in the waste,
He has a big head and a very small waist;
But his shoulders are satrk, and his jaws they are grim,
And a good little child will not play with him.
~Hillaire Belloc, The Bad Child's Book of Beasts

I think this looks like a very friendly lion. But then I actually think lions and little girls have more in common than people think. Little girls can be very wild and know instinctively how to roar, should they need to. And little girls, like lions, can also appear unbearably cute and very friendly. Indeed, there might just be a little bit of lion, in every little girl.

No wonder they look so good together!

I like this one very much.

Happy Sunday
