Here's a change of pace - one of my favorites of an old editorial style, this one was done for the Fort Worth paper, an article about tinnitus. William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy got permanent tinnitus in adjacent ears when a particularly loud squib went off as they were hiding on either side of a styrofoam rock.

Excellent image to illustrate tinnitus. The hearing seems to escape the ears in soaring manner.
Excellent. Very successful distortion utilized for the caricatures.
oh funny, I love them !!! herzlich Kathrin
Very good illustration! This is how I got mine.
Eva- Do you mean you did illustrations using a smiliar technique (ie, digital cutting and pasting)?
Hey Susan, I thought you might be interested in my friend’s work just because it’s very similar, visually, to a lot of yours. Yet, it’s a different process altogether.

My boys!
Squeeeeeeeal of delight!
May I post this on my blog? Pretty please?
P.S. It could also almost illustrate vertigo, which I've been experiencing, and which is, as you know, an inner ear thing.
(Luckily no tinnitus with mine.)
mister jeffrey and I were going to dress up as people from star trek and I was going to make the costumes.
lovely piece.
you should consider doing more collage-like work, perhaps??
