At top is a detail of the cover illustration for an edition of William Thackeray's the Rose and the Ring, a fractured fairytale he made up for Christmas - the illustrator is J.H. Tinker. At bottom is a my recasting of the original illustration from a few years back.

Wow, both are quite fabulous! Yours makes me want to get back into collage again!
I love the free spirit of the re-creation you made. Everything is there (lines, directions, characters) but someone has been playing and transforming things into themselves again.
I'm enjoying seeing these.
I never though about making them like this, and no sure I could.
