How to seize the moment...

...without crushing it?

I have been reliably informed the three dots we call an ellipsis in English are called points de suspension in French.

i like both; the French word is surely more descriptive...though.
what is the origin of 'ellipsis'?

hmmm ... the moment can only be crushed if it is not seized tightly enough ...

Shayna- I was thinking of trying to hold on to the moment, perhaps.

Yes, the same in Spanish: puntos de suspensión. Beautiful image

Susan~ yes - I think that if the moment is grasped tightly then it becomes a saved moment. (perhaps a pot of tea conversation ~.~)

The image is so delicate! I have been so clumsy lately that I wouldn't dare to touch those flowers.
I just hope my fear of crushing things with my anxiety will easy soon...

In Portuguese - Reticências

I much prefer points de suspension...

I'm always irritated that George Lucas botches the whole thing in every intro to the whole Star Wars saga by having four - yes four - dots!

.... ?!?

Tom - Ellipsis is a Greek word meaning to fall short of, or to leave out, according to what I am looking at online. Puts me in mind of Eliot's

Between the motion
And the act
Falls the shadow

Steve- In the U.S., we believe more is better.
