LOST: The Pit

Due to poor social skills, Sawyer remains in the pit for some time after Michael and Jin have been released. Note bullet hole in arm - you can see it even better if you click on the picture. I couldn't find video for this, just a photo. The photo is actually kind of wistful looking.

Lost: Inside the Hatch

Above you see the smug face of Doctor Marvin Candle (AKAs too numerous to mention), in charge of fiendish psychological experiments on the Island. He always signs off with a "Namaste", but shouldn't that mean something besides "You've been punk'd"? I guess wearing a white coat and calling yourself a doctor doesn't necessarily mean you're on the up and up.

Below, the big picture re The Hatch (Link to Hatch sequence on youtube for comparison purposes). I will provide links from now on for those who don't watch the show.

Lost: Inside the Hatch

Items,
One Scotsman, a little the worse for wear but still quite attractive*
One button labelled "execute" that needs to be pushed at
                  frequent intervals
      Dreams of sailing away

Now, after all this time, a knock on the ceiling.

I went to shoot this having forgotten to bring something to represent a computer terminal, but found this keyboard on the street with other equipment - borrowed and returned to its corner, gone later in the day. Can you tell what the hatch is? I will be publish an expanded view tomorrow, along with something/someone else you find in the Hatch.

Edit: for those who would like to see something LOST-like in the sense of existential mystery with sea breezes, without having to catch up on all the complications of the series, see "Talking to Honshu" here (British humor advisory).

*I didn't notice until I started drawing that the actor bears a striking resemblance to the late George Harrison - not sure if the final result looks more him than like Henry Ian Cusick.

LOST: Kate Climbs a Tree

Job skills for Desert Island living: Tracking and climbing trees. No girly girls need apply!

Edit: Apparently art direction from my readers is quite helpful - redbubble put the new T in its featured t-shirt section - I haven't had a feature for about six months. Thanks - I must think of other ways to involve readers. I am planning on more paper people in July, with Alice occasionally. Vertigo, a few scenes from North by Northwest. Anyway, I know some of you have made suggestions previously, but let me know if there are any scenes/films in particular you'd like to see here. If I can work with the suggestion, I will link to you in the post (keep in mind that one, or a few characters, are easiest to work with - I'm no Cecil B. DeMille).

LOST: Sayid punishes some oranges

Sometimes, if you're trapped on an island,  you need to pummel some fruit to relieve stress.

LOST: The Hatch

Locke finds the first Hatch...You'd be scared too, if you suspected paper went inside and was taken away by Others to strange destinations...more hatches to come.

I have something special planned for the Michael and Walt characters, but it is overcast here, and the effect is much better when I can have the paper backlit. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

LOST: Let me go, Jack

In this scene, John is sucked into a hole by a mysterious force, something which does not upset him particularly, but which Jack is unable to deal with. He throws dynamite down the hole, releasing John.

LOST: ...to boost the signal

Sayid, as played by Naveen Andrews, can make a transmitting device out of two toothpicks and a potato (or in this case, an old music box)- however, due to the electromagnetism, or phlogiston, of the island, it never does the slightest good in getting the castaways rescued. This character has forever changed the face of geekdom...now you can be nerdy and be one very badass dude (strangling villains with your toes, etc.).

Lost: Sawyer reads a good book

Lost Theory # 381,113 : Sawyer is a geeky little kid who fell asleep while reading and is dreaming the whole thing, including his own dangerous nature.

Tomorrow: What woman would choose a good-looking doctor over a really cool toy plane? Not Kate!

List will be presented in no particular order, and based this go-round on the first two seasons.
