LOST: ...to boost the signal

Sayid, as played by Naveen Andrews, can make a transmitting device out of two toothpicks and a potato (or in this case, an old music box)- however, due to the electromagnetism, or phlogiston, of the island, it never does the slightest good in getting the castaways rescued. This character has forever changed the face of geekdom...now you can be nerdy and be one very badass dude (strangling villains with your toes, etc.).

I know an Egyptian guy here in Miyazaki with the same name. He speaks about 20 languages. He's like one of those guitar players who sits behind a drum kit and makes the drummer feel like an amateur. These people need their own planet, where they can do their thing (without hurting our feelings) and secretly monitor us to make sure we don't hurt ourselves...

First Alice in the 'real' world (beautiful & a new and appropriate take on a great, seemingly fixed subject... I was toying with doing some more Alice pieces, you've inspired me!!!) and now Lost meets reality! Now I'll lay my cards on the table... here in the UK Lost was screened on terrestrial TV only until season 2 (or was it just 1, I forget... anyhow I was hooked then cheated out of seeing anymore and had to go cold turkey. I've now reached the stage where I'm not really all that bothered anymore about the weird, convoluted ramblings on that island...however... your hybrid photos make me glad I know those characters enough to see that you've really nailed them. I'm so glad to see you continue to run with this approach, it's a delight!

Matt- I didn't know about only the first two seasons being screened - those are what I am concentrating on this time around.
Possibly with just the Season 3 opener - I am looking at coin operating newspaper kiosks and thinking what great cages they would make.

I've never seen Lost. (Have you watched it from the beginning?) Now I have a context for your new imaginative series!

BTW, I've only seen Naveen Andrews as the sapper character in The English patient -- a film that I love.
