When I was younger, I was always kind of appalled that older people talked about the weather – it just seemed so mundane. But now , with these last few warm days before the rainy season – well, I just wouldn't believe the stillness and serenity if I wasn't here (even if it's it's not a unicorn in the garden).Blues, blues, blues:

I see the moon

oh how happy can
a little Blackbird be?
New challenge? Fandangidyydangoo!
Conversations about the weather are appalling, but this isn't.
Amazingly gorgeous colours!
A celestial wink... I always knew blackbirds were wise birds...
Chris - Just....give it a few years.
New challenge, yessss! Hoping I can do better on this one...er...
I love the moon in the eye. Being able to read the weather is a sign of having observed nature and understanding some patterns. i used to be embarrassed by the Britishness of discussing the weather, blande conversation for those lacking in imagination, but now, if the weather being discussed is observational instead of evasive, I find it intriguing.
Jasmine - "observational instead of evasive" - that is one for the keepsake box.
Dennis thinks the weather is like God. it's everywhere.
Fall, the prerequisite for the inevitable Winter.
What a beautiful, clear sky. Everything deserves to gaze upon it, even marker-manifested blackbirds.
AJ - enjoying the comments...now, about that novel...
the weather is good here! Hooray! It is often rainy. Talking about weather is fun. I love your bird...thanks for the shout out there in the blues. That was entertaining...and you're so clever!
Even Birds Get The Blues I Guess?
"With a high heart, because there was a unicorn in his garden..."
That's the magic of getting older, if you know what I mean...
Egypt comes to my mind - the left eye of Horus is associated to the moon. There is a whole interesting story about the falcon god, but one has to google it.
Love your posts - always making me wonder.
The weather/climate we live in shapes who we are to some degree I think. Those last few days before the season changes are so bittersweet...
I love your take on life, Susan. You are a true original.
I loved meeting my blues brothers and sisters!
Thanks for linking L'astronave.
Oh gosh, this is great. Bye bye blackbird, my eye!
Those links are yummo. Thanks much, Susan.
Candace

i heard scientists discovered a new blue recently, who'd of thunk it possible
the fact that weather is ever changing does make it a constant in our consciousness and conversations
