In the pamphlet "Groatsworth of Wit", the properly educated Robert Greene attacked Shakespeare as "an uptstart crow beautified in our feathers" - his point being that a lowly actor presumed too much in becoming an author. I must have had my head up my butt during the one heart one world thing...yes..*checking back into the filofax* head up butt.. whole 10 days of it.
I like your style. Great!
one of my fave bookshops in CA was Upstart Crow.
Crows are fun to watch-- clever. Fab art as always!
yeah Pete Seeger lived in Nyack as a kid and was one of the people who started the whole Clearwater group.
He credited being able to hike mountains here, and camp along the river with his lifelong passion for nature.
delightful.
he's a very elegant crow.
: )
Ah! So well done!
We seem to have a lot of rather large crows here in Miyazaki. Crows are interesting birds: clearly quite intelligent (well, for birds, that is), yet somehow pretty damned savage at the same time... One of the most startling things I've ever seen was a crow feasting on a pigeon in the middle of a downtown street. It was the setting that startled me...
I just this afternoon watched crows in the zoo stalking around between the animals in their enclosures - obviously considering themselves free people among slaves, with invisible crowns...
The crow is perfect! :)
perfect crow, they do assume royal rights in my yard!
he captures my heart..... I love crows!
