I've had a good response to this idea, so I think I'm going to be posting a word every Wednesday for a list of links on Thursday. Since I've focused on the visual folks this time, next week I'll try to find a word for the writers. Stay tuned....

What a winsome cabbagehead!
MacDonald's greenly chiseled haiku are to be found at zenspeug. And what's more there's a PiR 'link' to the green-tongued Highland stonemason of very few words.
Thats the coolest sprout I've seen in ages!
PR - it's posted.
Cerebral and edible too!
jdi - Brains....love brains.
I love the brussel sprout!
Crispy head above a lovely worn out blue dress. But no arms?
Hey, I had a lot of fun going through the links! It's a very good idea!
Uh, she looks a character of a 50´s science fiction movie!
She may have sprouted a terrifying head but really she's 'armless.
Well, that will certainly put a little brussel in her bustle. ;-)
I love the surreal ones. Agree with the sci-fi comment too.
Titus - Yes, Tomas nailed it...it even has the look of the incredibly cheesy special effect costumery of the era. Poor wee innocent vegetable!
So weirdly wonderful. -j
I have been thinking of Nick Drake's "Five Leaves Left" !!!!x
Haha, yes! Very alien-like, nice!
I just posted "zɪərɒks", my video of the day. I wasn't thinking of your green challenge until I posted it and realized it's very green.
I think my subconscious wants to play--next time I'll pay more attention to your stated game.
Now that's a scene from a horror movie if I ever saw one. cool!
I put something green on my blog tonight. I like the brussel sprout head doll. The little dress made me think of one I used to have in my closet. (a green dress) I wanted to take a pic, but of course now it's gone somewhere else. I wonder where????
Glorious green. You know, b.sprouts are very good when cut 1/4s and stir fried with sesame seeds. Finally a couple of drops of sesame seed oil and they are sublime.
I shall follow your green links now thankyou.
ps. have just realised that prior to reading yr post, I had posted about my 'green woman' over at my mosaic blog... Synchronicity.
Quick clarifcation & correction!
Re zenspeug's green-link the two languages JM uses are Scottish and English. Yes, 3 languages are spoken in Scotland but zenspeug is an Edinburgh-based blog. The Gaelic speakers are mainly in the Hebrides; the Isle of Skye and such places.
That brussel sprout looks to me like the head of one of the creatures from Alien. On top of the doll it's kinda creepy! I like it, though--kinda punky!
Oh, goodness! I found this somehow very startling. At first, also I thought the doll was Alice in Wonderland. The more I look at it, though, the more I like it.

Thanks, PR. I have corrected.
Oh, I was too late, but I'll try to participate next week.
this is so very cool. it reminds me of the Martians in "Mars Attacks" whose heads would blow up when Slim Whitman was played.
hahahahaha
thanks for the green mention! Once, in high school I dyed my hair and went swimming. My hair was green. darker green than your girl's sprout..I love how the sprout looks so head-like.
Sprouts ARE rather beautiful . . . but I can only manage to eat them at Christmas, and just because it would be rude not to.
love the brussel sprout doll. Hate Brussels sprouts no matter how much sulphur and cruciate goodies they have
