Did I mention I liked Tom Waits? Rough around the edges could describe his voice...the sweetness is inside. It's just the opposite of Monty Python's crunchy frog candy in which a thin layer of chocolate covers a presumably gelid amphibian. And the opposite of the Ancient Mariner is...my neighbor Carlos, who stopped in the street to ask me why he couldn't understand everything, all at once, so he could do the right thing to make the world better. Did I mention I liked my neighborhood?

It is great that you have such a kind and thoughtful person in your neighborhood. It's also equally kind of you to think about that and pass it along to us! Carlos = delicate petals of a flower.
Did I mention I´d like mine better with Tom Waits marching through it (even disguised as Mr. Nick) - or at least with some more Carloslike figures... (it´s a good thing you like yours - creativity, like soul, flourishes in a friendly neighborhood I guess...)
I love trees and Tom Waits. I love that you made the association between the two. If I think of Tom Waits and trees it has to be in his black and white movie 'Down by Law' when they are travelling through the swamps.
Tom Waits suits you! Just like my favourite Captain Beefheart suits me.
Heike- I remember you like that song.
Jasmine- I should rent that.
Eva- Thanks, It's funny, I get a picture of Tom Waits as an accessory...he'd make a strange scarf or hat.
Beautiful. And certainly your neighborood likes you and your artistic marks :))
Found...
a pixie hood pinned to a tree.
Like the sound of your neighbours.
Yep, that sounds like a good place to live.
Picture made me think of his album with Crystal Gayle - bark and petal, rough and sweet.
I think I like your neighborhood too, but then I'd miss my daily visits from the fedora wearing gentleman who shows me ballpoint pen updates on how the construction on his multi million dollar mansion is coming along.
Great neighbour. The house next door to us is for sale. Does he want to move? :)
Susan, may I through your comments box promulgate my blogpost of today 'Simple Haiti Aid & Rescue Plan'. Many thanks in anticipation,
Gwilym
For the life of me I couldn't remember what gelid means. I had to look it up.
do you have roses still flowering?
this one looks like a pixie hat
Looks like a message left in a tree, a love message (to your neighborhood?) , by the way.
It also looks like the tree's heart, a sweet heart.
Did you left it after shooting? I would love find something so intriguingly beautiful in my way.
Cláudia – You know, I didn't leave it, just because I hadn't put it in the class "Things to leave for people to find". I read ma grande folle's comment, and then realized, right, should have done that.
