The above ox comes to you (through me) from Michael O'Connell, a designer/illustrator in Florida. I'm sending Michael the ox below .
Jake, he was a dancing oxThe only one in all the flocks:
His hooves determined to rejoice,
He danced because he had no choice.

I'm ox, too, born in April 1949.
if dancing is a must...who could complain? the coat must have taken some time, very intricate...
and Michael's ox...love the busting through....
how cool is this!!!! can't wait to see it in person… er… oxen!!!!
I would love to have a dance with Jake the ox! So cool how you share about other folks...
I like the both so much!!! :)
I love your ox! The hint of a grin, the slight lifting of the leg; you made it look like a happy, dancing ox without diminishing its, um, "Oxiness."
I think you captured the ethereal space of the ox’s eyes, and the hint of purple really makes it pop. Whenever I see picture of an ox they always have a dumbfounded look, due to the spacing of their eyes.
Also, thanks for the kind words on my blog.
are you channeling Ogden Nash?
