I don't know how much time I'll have this week, so I'm posting photos from my stay in Venice three years ago at this time of year. It was wonderfully misty with occasional gentle rain. Here is another photo from the Island of Torcello, where there was a monastery with romanesque mosaics.

There seems to be this shade of pink that only exists on the walls of Venice.. like the damp and the age are essential constituents of the color.. Hated Venice, liked the photos better. Stinky place..
this looks like the kind of place you could stay for ever (although maybe not if it pongs)
I would recommend going to Venice in the colder months.
Utterly fantastic photo. What a colour combo. The colours dreams are made of.
Beautiful photo. No where quite like Italy, is there?
We spent this past spring wandering through the hills of Tuscany, was wonderful. Didn't see Venice, but can feel the magic of it through your picture.
I was in Barcelona a year ago, and the weather was perfect for me. I have only been to Venice when it was too warm and would love to go in the colder months.
Super - silly - ous! {best word ever}.
