In the window of my favorite store on Grant Avenue, Aria. This reminds me of the old song "Stuck in the Middle". The owner is irascible unless you are an artist, in which case he may shower free collage materials on you. I think it's open for about 15 minutes each week. The photo was taken on the same trip the previous one was shot. North Beach on a Sunday morning is wonderful, I am racking my brain for excuses to go over there again.

A lovely couple of dummies... - when I´m grown up I´m planning on having a shop which is open about 15 minutes a week, too...
Does he close for lunch?
Are those little hands inside the glass globe under the spigot? At first I thought it might be a reflection from something outside ... but don't think so now. The paint outside the store window is wonderful. I hope the building never gets renovated! - J. (word verification: obellita, which sounds like a great fake Spanish term for a slightly pudgy girlfriend)
Would definately like to visit if I can find a spare 15min.....!
oh the lad would swoon over this...

This photo reminds me of an American N.Y. painter I once met in Rome, Gregory Gillespie, who painted very interesting paintings with themes like the one in the store window.
great art!! Is thata meat grinder.? I to love the song stuck in the middle with you.. great interpretation,
fem-The facts that the little hands are under glass make one even more unlikely to want to get into a car with these two.
Inky - I don't think it's a meat grinder, I think it is complex faucet of some kind.
hm... I agree, Susan. A wide berth to these two (or three? or...)
Cheers from Graulhet.
Mum- They have everything but the candy.
sounds like an ace shop. love the image
That is really unusual!?
oh, Susan. Love this shot. All I can say is check the old Mexicano actor Cantinflas - the smaller head is definitely him. His separated mustache was his signature as an actor. wow!
R- thanks for the identification. There was something familiar about that head.
very charming couple :)
will you take me on my next visit?
What about that video of Stuck in the middle with you! I have to dance :)
