I adore this picture of Alice sleeping. That's what I remember is her falling asleep and then waking to a crazy new world! (Can you fill us in - those who missed the beginning - on how many Alices there are and where they have gone? How did this all start?) - Jeanne
Jeanne - I sent out 18 Alices, as I recall. Perhaps I will do this again in a few months...Right now, it's just a time when I seem to have a lot of un-Alice related stuff I need to communicate about, so it may not be soon. Or possibly I may do something else entirely next time - there are a limited amount of variations on one theme I think.
And I was just down to the lake a bit ago but Alice was wide awake and making an interesting discovery. But this here, is truly inspiring! So calm and it comes off so well(especially the reflection ). Outstanding!
you always make me wish I was Alice, your work is so amazing.. TY so much for taking me back in time, for bringing me back to the future, thank YOU for sharing your LOVE..
This image of Alice, the reflection in the water, it reminded me of "The Lady of Shallot" who looked at the world through a mirror while Alice finds a new one going through it.
You made me want to read Through the Looking-Glass again...

This is the sort of thing that photographers, including me, have to aspire to.
That's so cute! And I love her reflection in the water.

I wish Alice would come and visit me :)

Lovely Effect.Love The Reflection.
Hey! I just saw this blog!
Oh, just beautiful! So reminiscent of the Cottingley Fairies too.
Her petticoats look like butterfly wings. What a beautiful, reflective image . . . and the words, too.
Titus - The Cottingley fairies are absolutely the fairy grandmothers of all of my paper figures.
Ah! It's never occurred to me before.
Have to agree with Chris David Richards here, that is a fantastic photo ArtSparker.
I thought your use of shadows in previous posts was clever but the reflection in this picture is delightful. Magic!
Magical and creative ; )
precious...the reflection is magic!
@tony, cool link! Ta much! A bit rare than my Italian art version...
Stunning. Simply stunning.
You capture an image of absolute serenity and beauty with humor (a gift you have which I have come to admire more and more on your blog).
