Can it be? Jakolnikov finds he has lost his appetite for the stolen tarts, which lie on their plate mocking him with their flaky perfection. This concludes the Alice posts for now, I have a couple of more which I will post later on, and possibly I may take the non-canonical stuff/mashup stuff further. The archive for May of this year has most of the Alice posts if you missed the earlier installment. Tomorrow, an illustration or two for the words post.

Agh, the famous story of Jack Raskalnikov, as told in Dostoyevsky Tales from the Underground - who knew this was the underground to which he was referring?
Tell me, if Jakolnikov isn't interested in the tarts, and if there are no other takers...
... there are: me...
Mum,
So that's where all the discussion about toothaches comes from in "Underground". He ate too many tarts!
;-)
Tarts? What tarts? Munch, munch, munch...delicious!
incredible drawing and ..... how did you do for the tarts get so small !!!???
i loved this balcony .
Save One For Me mum!
I've always wanted a tart with a heart ;)
Caio - first I bought some normal sized sugar cookies, which happened to have a tiny sugar heart in the middle, then I cut them into round pieces, then softened the edges with water and sculpted the edges with an exacto knife. Then I stained them with a little coffee to make them look browner on the edges.
TFE - reminds me of "London you're a Lady" (which should possibly not be used as an anatomical guide for surgeons).
I love this one! There is a resonance... -J
Uau! This is great! Wonderful work, really magic...
Jakolinikov has lost his appetite but I have recovered mine and feel like stealing the stolen hearted tarts. Even though the secret of their making has been revealed, i still want them!
wonderful reference, artistic creation and, btw, those tarts look delicious.
The stolen tarts are tempting, indeed. They look a bit like jammy dodgers!
