Here you see Athena's owl taking shelter in a felt bag my nephew Jimmy made. The bag is going off to Greece as a donation to the fund-raising reforestation effort at Attika SOS. If you have crafty skills and have an item you can donate, or make, or if you'd like to make a cash donation, please see this site.

It is a beautiful bag. Athena made a wise choice sheltering here! Reforestation is so vital.
I'll have to check this site out...love that Alice photo below...
I slipped through the needle's eye and find myself back in Madrid, and ready to start a new art project.
I loved your owl under Jimmy's colorful bag. He seems to like it there.
Thanks for the link, will contact them.
This is adorable, in the best way possible! I'm sure my wife and I can make some donations too - will definitely get to this then.

the way you positioned the bag, it looks like Athena's owl is sheltering under a tibetan hat. I'll definitely check out the website.
I'm not gifted in crafts, but I'm adding Attika SOS as a link on my blogs and will mention it online.
Lovely. I'm sending something. Thanks for the link.
this donation is greatly appreciated, and the post too, the bag is lovely. thank you.
the affected area is full of Athena's owls, their habitat has been deriously damaged- I'm hoping that because the fire started at night that they had time to get away.
It´s beautiful, the owl seems so cozy under the felt bag, but that "coziness" acquires a very special and deeper meaning when one reads it´s about real solidarity and concern.
