Alice in Wonderland/The Chase

The Dormouse wakes up after being stuffed in the teapot and runs off with the Mad Hatter's Hat. Some of the teacups you see above were very kindly sent to me by the proprietor of After the Pencil Soars through it. This is the image for October in the Wonderland Revisited 2010 Calendar.

ATTENTION POETS: link to David Orr's wonderfully appreciative review of Nicholson Baker's new book about a befuddled poet.

Would it be possible that Carroll´s spirit/soul/mind/being, whatever, could be wondering here and there and everywhere? This image would be the delight of Rev. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson! well... I look again at the photo, and in fact he is there! Wonderful, Susan.

I LOVE IT! Especially the worried, hurried expression on Hatter's face! And Mom would just love those cups( ack! she's got so many now )-LOL! Wonderful set-up, Susan :)

did they not call the race or chase the caucus? I was tryng to find it on google & wikipedia but haven't yet and my books are home.

clever use of the characters, demitasse cups and landscaped background. Is that a painted tray?

CG - it's unrelated to the Caucus race, this is just spinning out from the original story.

Aleph -

There are possibilities in what you suggest.

A sort of luminous presence?

Ok, now THIS one is my favorite! How do you do it? This one has so many clever layers.

(And btw, I had some coffee and walnut cake (and tea of course) at Cassandra's Cup today.

Great composition. Thinking of the meaning of thrown cups, as well.
Caio is sexy!

Eva - will pass the information on to interested parties.

Great drawings ArtSparker and a lovely tableau. Brilliant effect,is that photoshop trickery ,or are the teacups suspended on invisible wires ,or did you just throw the whole lot up in the air and snap a picture?

TFE - pixie dust.

I really like these images where you have merged and contrasted fantasy and reality.

Quickly, doormouse! Down the treacle well!

(I'd be more inclined to follow your links than to work this morning; but I shall be good and simply bookmark them for the nonce. The novel looks interesting, indeed.)

cheers from... bocclias? (that's what word verif says)

This is so whimsical, the tea cups like thrown confetti, the Hatter's face, the whole thing is marvellous. How did you do it?
