James, the proprietor of the Antiques Centre, under attack by a miniature Amazon. This seems to be the week for dubious characters here (not James, who is a very nice man - I think I made him nervous following him around with the camera while he was working, though).I've just checked, and Edward Gorey never illustrated Alice in Wonderland...I think I'm going to have to post a little hommage/mashup on Monday. It's just something that needs to be done.

this amazon isn't fair !!!
isn't funny how some people respond to cameras? love the wee amazon though.
Could it be a cupid's heart throbbing inside the lady's armour?
Caio - James is also in a neighborhood with very colorful characters, who do things like pulling a bottlecap out of their pockets and asking, "Is this real gold, man?' He puts up with a lot. As an impatient person myself, I salute him.
Eva- I see you are an optimist.
Miniature Amazon is one of the best turns of a phrase I've heard in a while. She should team up with jumbo shrimp.
JT- speaking of...I hope you have seen District 9. Wonderful
Ahh, the tail shadow... (does she have 1 breast or 2?)
g - a pre-surgery Amazon.
I love the bird/steed. The antiques centre is certainly a source of inspiration.
Methinks she's just the lead scout, yes? Great details on this!
:oD
that's a very pointy horse.
hmph - my comment didn't register yesterday. Never mind. I still think she's cute - in the sharp sort of way- and so is her steed.
Oh my, My skills in typing have fallen wayside.
I had actually meant, in earlier post:
Isn't IT funny, how some folks respond to camera.
I have several students who love having their likeness taken.
And then many co-teachers who dislike it allot.
;)
silly me and my poor typing skills.
G-day~

Oh, this image is really delightful! It reminds me of those old fairy photos.
