Susan- What's that line from the Blues song, "If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all'? Heh. Or I could be being a leetle melodramatic.....I have a license for that, because I am an artist.
Eva- All I did was hold the advertising card over the mirror fragments sitting on the book with my left hand and take the photograph with my right hand.
okay, now you've really dunnit, missy! this has got to be my favorite of favorites of favorites of favorites- this is so electric! isn't it taunting how artists create with a simple left-right...? it's that darned ole genius-noggin that stunts the rest of us....
I´ve been following all Alice´s posts, but definitely this one struck me with its wonder, that clever and yet very simple mechanism of representation with the mirrows intervening the drawing on the book and the quote remembered me of course Jorge Luis Borges.
This is so cool! You are amazing. I was showing your blog to my friend Lisa the other night when she was over having dinner and we were marveling at your work!

What a fantastic way to represent a dreaming - I like what you did with the mirrors and how vividly but brokenly Alice appears there.
I do hope you haven't incurred the traditional 7 years bad luck getting this photo?!

I love the way you have done this picture with the face of Alice reflected in the glass. So clever! And so apt.
... and again: how did you do this?

You am too clever. And my appreciative head is but a cabbage.
Very, very clever!

Beautiful. It does make it look like broken tile, very effective! -j
oooooooooo I really love love love this one. She is all the more beautiful because she is broken.
They do say mirrors are gateways,
scrying
and seeing things from a different perspective..
Well done! Especially the fragment arrangement :) And kinda like how most dreams are fragmented, yes? Well ,for me anyway, heh.
Drawing challenge just posted here. Be afraid...
Love it!
The drawing bellow the mirrors does resemble a thorax, with shoulders. Alice's image is perfectly "planted" in it like a head.
So brilliant, Susan!
This is so wonderful!!!!!!!!!!
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!
You are so clever!
Great image, so thought-provoking...
