A little treat before the finale of Through The Looking glass this afternoon. These are spreads from two different Pop-Up Alices that were published in 2003. Above, Robert Sabuda's take on Alice in The White Rabbit's House in his Alice's Adventures in Wonderland adaptation; below, J. Otto Seibold's Alice in Pop-Up Wonderland's courtroom scene.

love the pop-ups, and Carrol's image of Alice outgrowing the house.

So Amazing,both!!!
Thanks Susan!!! :)
Very much in love with the one on top. Amazing interpretation.
what is it about pop up things that
take us instantly back to a fun place
in childhood?
The first image lead me back to my teenage years, when I was physically growing up. I felt exactly like this - loose in the air, legs and arms poorly attached to my body. Oh, mine, I felt I was totally scrambled up.
