Here's one version of the Mock Turtle telling his story. I took this photo just after having picked up my mosaic seashell from a gallery there. I may not get to too many blogs today, I have had a cold hanging on for too long and may just go back to bed to try to dislodge it.

The Mock Tutle and the Gryphon
Here's one version of the Mock Turtle telling his story. I took this photo just after having picked up my mosaic seashell from a gallery there. I may not get to too many blogs today, I have had a cold hanging on for too long and may just go back to bed to try to dislodge it.

I hope you feel better soon - and what would my gramma think of me if I didn't tell you, "hot water, lemon & honey" ~!~ your mosaic seashell is a gorgeous podium for the the Mock Turtle.
I hope bed does the trick and you're feeling better soon.
I love how you captured the distant family and their beach umbrella in this shot -- that's a wonderful shot.
This illustration always made me feel bereft, looking at it in the book. I like so much better how you've brightened the scene with the red- stripe mosaic and the umbrella in background. Do hope you feel better soon.
That beach umbrella in the distance is a perfect addition to this image!
I hope you feel better soon!
Just how I imagine them. With the sun shining on the sea with all its might, too. I hope you feel better soon. I see from the mail that your book has arrived today -I am looking forward to opening it and enjoying it.
Rest up and hope you feel better.
A day in bed wallowing is the only sane response to a cold... hope you're feeling better soon.
Rest, Hot Tea and soft blankies...Hope you feel better soon. I'm looking forward to more pictures. I always *loved* the Walrus and the Carpenter.
God your work are just AMAZING totally creative, u can make millions of storys :)
Susan, thank you so much for your helpful comment. I think you really got my dilemma.
-- Hope you'll be feeling good again quite soon! --
Love the mosaic shell. It is so natural and looks like another turtle. And I love the gryphon, the protector of print arts. I always watch, but don't always comment, because sometimes I cannot think of anything clever enough to be posted.
wishing you a cold-free body
wonderful mosaic and your paper friends seem happy to be at the beach.
Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes. Rereading Sheri Tepper books in bed.
Eva - silly, you don't have to be clever, you are always welcome.
I love this photo! Hope you feel better soon!
Oh I love this shot and that shell is beautiful! Hope your cold goes away soon.
Get well soon!
Loved this, the shell makes me go all Gaudi and the blue is just beautiful, and seems reflected in the figures.
Love Gryphons and love that mosaic shell too. Great pic too.I remember blue skies from days of yore.
I'm full of a feckin cold too and it's driving me demented, my left eye is constantly streaming and I'm perpetually on the squinty eyed cusp of sneezing, without actually sneezing.Torture.
Hope we feel better pronto.
alice looks comfy with her toes buried in the sand...sounds like a nice cure for a cold as well.
i think it's absolutely amazing you have time for a cold...you're kidding, right? i can't even write 'hurry back' cuz you'll be back in a blink...
but seriously...feel better...drink lots of organic cranberry.
I like this so much and the mosaic is really good, the composition sooooo nice.
good recovery from colds
Susan, I hope curling up a little will make you feel better.
Better enough to proceed with the Lobster Quadrille, the most cheerful dance I have ever heard of!
And the moral of that is: if you don't curl up now, you may have to curl up later on... ;-)
I loved the Mock Turtle because he cried and the Gryphon because he wasn't fierce.
Hope you're feeling better. Hot tea with lemon & honey. Or just lemon and honey!
Hope you feel better soon.
You know I really like this image, could it be that wonderful mosaic shell.....?
